Spring has SPRUNG!

I am always REALLY excited to see our landscaping getting ready for summer!!
(I'm also really excited when I didn't kill something I just planted last year...)
Above some daylily's we put in last fall.
The Wiegla we planted last Spring
Lily's
 Rose Bush
My absolute favorite ground cover - Lamium - so pretty when the blooms come on!
These are my favorite plants - Hosta's - they are so easy and I love the greenery!
 More Hosta's
These came a little late - its fun to watch them come up through the ground!
Want to hear a really stupid story?  When we first got married I was clueless about plants.  The home we were renting had Hosta's planted along side the walkway to the door.  When they started pushing up through the dirt I honestly convinced myself that they were alien finger coming out of the ground... (no joke)  God is still doing a real work on my heart and mind to overcome fear!
If you're one of those worriers I highly recommend 'Crazy Love' by Francis Chan.  It totally changed my paradigm - God did a real work on my through reading and co-leading a small group reading of Crazy Love.
“Crazy Love” by Francis Chan, he says that “Worry and stress reek of arrogance. They declare our tendency to forget that we’ve been forgiven, that our lives here are brief, that we are headed to a place where we won’t be lonely, afraid, or hurt ever again, and that in the context of God’s strength, our problems are small, indeed.”
Finally - Rain Lily.  My Grandma gave me a pot of these 2 years ago.  They multiply like crazy and now I have 4 pots of them!  If you want some bulbs message me your address and I'd love to share them with you.  They won't come back in Ohio if you winter them outside, but if you bring your pots in before the temps fall and let them go dormant until Spring they'll return as soon as you water them!  They're beautiful!

  1. Hey! I would be willing to do a trade with you for the lilly, if you're up for it! I have two starts of a snake plant that I would love to share. It's a super-easy low-maintance houseplant. I'll be in town this Friday to (very early) Sunday morning. What do you say????
