Want to have a GOOD weekend? Make yo'self summa deez....
and NEVER buy a brownie mix again!
Ooohhhhhhhhhhh-Ahhhhhhhh
yes, those are angels you're hearing!
Don't worry, these are very easy to make so you won't have to drool on your keyboard for too long!
Best Brownies
1/2 cup butter
1 cup white sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
Frosting
3 tablespoons butter, softened
3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup powdered sugar
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour an 8 inch square pan.
Using a microwaveable bowl (I use my Pampered Chef Batter Bowl), melt the butter in the microwave. Once melted, stir in sugar, and vanilla with a fork. Add eggs, slightly beating them before adding. Gently stir in the cocoa, flour, salt, and baking powder. Don't over-mix - same rule of thumb as a box mix. Remember these are brownies, not cake...the more you stir/beat, the more air goes into the eggs...making it more cakey. This is why I use a fork rather than a mixer. Spread batter into prepared pan. Bake 25 to 30 minutes
Mix all the above frosting ingredients together: butter, cocoa, honey, vanilla, powdered sugar. Lick your spatula. Oh my stars!!! Isn't that the best thing you've ever tasted?! Frost brownies while they are still warm...after they've cooled for about 10-15 minutes. Devour & try not to eat the whole batch...maybe you can find a cute 4 year old to share them with!
I told ya chocolate was on his radar :)
Don't worry, it's only an 8x8 pan of brownies. If you do end up eating them all you need not feel guilty about it...just be sad that they're all gone - and make more tomorrow :)
Oh yum! Those look delish!
